I love designing and making books. Ever since my January Interim class when I hand-crafted books, I’ve been addicted. I love layout, but now I have a much greater appreciation of the physicality of books, too. I just posted photos of a few of my best books from my Bookmaking class.
I’m on spring break this week. And I’ve started another book project. I’m gathering favorite recipes from my mom and compiling them into a cookbook called Eileen’s Kitchen. Even though I am not done with my Semester in Britain book yet, I love starting new projects. It keeps me going and I learn a lot just by having an idea to work away at. I have been pretty busy applying for jobs, but I would go insane if I did not have something creative to do.
Just for your information, my Blurb portfolio book turned out really well. I am proud of it. We’ll see if it can help me get a job. Less than 60 days now till I graduate.
