New WordPress Theme
I have officially moved into the realm of creating my own WordPress themes. I had previously been using Coraline as the theme for this website. But since I bought my own space on the web, I’ve been wanting to personalize my website with a theme I created from scratch. I’m so excited to learn more about WordPress ( specifically WP theming); each new thing I learn requires me to learn another new thing, which is always good.
The theme is pretty minimalistic (maybe it’s my Dutch blood?), but that’s how I envisioned it from the start. This theme, which I have dubbed “Oranje” is just version 1.0. Some of the kinks still have to be worked out–I admit that–but I am satisfied enough with the look and functionality of the site to activate the theme and share it with the world!
Notice I’ve branded my site with my own personal logo. I’ll do a separate post in the future about my own personal logo/brand, and what it means to me.
I’m also in the process of reorganizing my content, but otherwise it’s all still there for you to peruse. So please look through my portfolio. And give me feedback on my new theme, if you wish. Thanks!
