My cousins are avid fans of the Dutch football (soccer to Americans) team Ajax. Recently, I completed a project for them to bind a twin set of 29 columns written by one of their recently-passed friends, who went by the pen-name Dapp’re Zeeuw. They wanted the books made as a tribute to their friend. They were all part of a fan club called SVA Zeeland. I used Adobe InDesign to lay out the text in the pages, adding touches of red and the Ajax logo where appropriate. I included a table of contents–or inhoudsopgave, in Dutch. Using every opportunity to use the team color, I used red thread and red end papers, and I covered the book in parcel paper. The final product was 116 pages.
