Tier I Book (Basic)

Good for novels and simple trade books with basic typesetting needs; a clean, professional look. (Typically 5.5˝ x 8.5˝ or 6˝ x 9˝ trim size, but may be custom size.)

Starting at $350

Included:

Up to 75,000 words in length.

• $25 per additional 10,000 words.

Up to 10 images (must be provided and owned by the author).

• $10 per additional image.
• An additional rate will be negotiated for custom figures and diagrams, if required.

Pre-design consultation and up to one (1) round of design feedback and revisions on sample design and layout before full typesetting and composition.

• $25 per additional round of design feedback and revisions on sample design before full typesetting. 

Up to 2 rounds of editorial corrections before final export.

• $25 per round of additional revisions beyond 2 rounds.

Initial turnaround time of 5–10 business days, depending on complexity of design, including design and layout sample, with 1–2 business days per revision.

Deliverable(s): 

High-quality, press-ready PDF of book interior made exactly to your printing specs and page count.

• $100 additional for original, packaged InDesign and processed image files. (Fonts not provided; all font licenses must be purchased separately.)

Tier II Book (Enhanced)

Good for book layouts with multiple and/or complex features, such as sidebars, pull quotes, footnotes, images, etc.; a professional design. (Typically 5.5˝ x 8.5˝ or 6˝ x 9˝ trim size, but may be custom size.)

Starting at $500

Included:

Up to 100,000 words in length.

• $50 per additional 10,000 words.

Up to 25 images (must be provided and owned by the author).

• $10 per additional image.
• An additional rate will be negotiated for custom figures and diagrams, if required. 

Pre-design consultation and up to two (2) rounds of design feedback and revisions on sample design and layout before full typesetting and composition.

• $25 per additional round of design feedback and revisions on sample design before full typesetting.

Up to 5 rounds of editorial corrections before final export.

• $25 per round of additional revisions beyond 5 rounds.

Initial turnaround time of 10–15 business days, depending on complexity of design, including design and layout sample, with 1–3 business days per revision.

Author must provide:

• Cover design (if you want interior to match).
• Final manuscript files only (Word doc or RTF format preferred). Minor editorial corrections may be made in included revision rounds.
• All images to be included in the book (author must own rights to images). An evaluation will be made on quality and fitness for press.
• The use of stock imagery and/or the purchase of necessary fonts may be negotiated for an additional cost.
• Overall cost may be negotiable depending on project needs and customizations; this will be determined during design consultation.
