During Calvin’s January 2011 Interim, I hand-crafted books for the Hand Made Artist Books class. I learned about the anatomy of a book and the wide variety of binding and foldng methods–everything from the traditional codex binding to Japanese stab binding to perfect binding. I even got to dissect a book. (All work shown is my own.)
